SMITHFIELD MARKET – CHRISTMAS 2019

Turkeys and other special produce are all available at the Market in the run-up to Christmas.

Free parking is available in the Rotunda car park in West Smithfield on Sunday 15 December, Monday 16 December, Tuesday 17 December, Wednesday 18 December, Thursday 19 December, Friday 20 December, Saturday 21 December, Sunday 22 December, Monday 23 December and Tuesday 24 December – this applies if you enter the car park after 9pm and leave before 10am the following day.

 

Market Opening Times:

Normal opening hours (2am to 8am) until Friday 13 December

Saturday 14 December – Market Closed

Sunday 15 December – Market Closed

Monday 16 December to Friday 20 December – Market Open from 1am – 10am

Saturday 21 December – Market Open from 1am – 10am

Sunday 22 December – Market Open from 1am – 10am

Monday 23 December – Market Open from 1am – 10am

Tuesday 24 December – Market Open from 1am – 10am

Wednesday 25 December – Market Closed

Thursday 26 December – Market Closed

Friday 27 December – Market Open from 2am  – 8am

Saturday 28 December – Market Closed

Sunday 29 December – Market Closed

Monday 30 December – Market Open from 2am – 8am

Tuesday 31 December – Market Open from 2am – 8am

Wednesday 1 January – Market Closed

From Tuesday 2 January – Market Opens on weekdays from 2am – 8am as normal.

The Market will be closed on  24, 25, 26, 30, 31 December and 1 January.


Closure of Poultry Market

As part of an agreement with our landlords, the City of London, to relocate the Market to Barking and Dagenham, the traders left the Poultry Market building at the end of August this year.  The building will become part of the new Museum of London.  Smithfield Market contimues to trade from the two remaining Victorian buildings and will continue to do so until at least 2028.
