Smithfield Market hosts VIP visit
When Lord Mayor Michel Bear and the Lady Mayoress visited Smithfield Market in June they were welcomed by the Master of the Worshipful Company of Butchers, HRH the Princess Royal. A tour through the Market was led by the Chairman of the Tenants' Association, Greg Lawrence.
The Lord Mayor saw how the Market
operates and the touring party
stopped to chat to stallholders.
During the tour, the Lord Mayor and the Master were given a presentation of meat and poultry by the Smithfield Market Tenants' Association.
